Manoj Tiwari in a new avataar

Manoj Tiwari's handsome IPL money has helped him realize his dream of movie making, reports SportsCenter's Muhammed Ashar Khan.

Flanked by Bengali movie actresses, wearing stylish sunglasses and a body hugging t-shirt, the India player Manoj Tiwari was seen in his new avatar as a film producer.

The 24-year-old explosive batsman, who loves to entertain on and off the field, said, "It is my brother's production house and I thought I would support him in his venture within my means."

Film production can be a demanding vocation financially. But the $675,000 he has earned by signing up for the Delhi Daredevils is undoubtedly keeping him in good stead and helping him pursue his dream.

"The story of the movie I am producing with my brother is very different from the day-to-day stuff we see in Bengali movies. I can't tell you the plot. You will have to wait for the release date," said Tiwari.

Known as Chhota Dada in Kolkata for his ability to attack bowlers, Tiwari has an impressive first-class average of 57.5.

While Tiwari has not been able to impress the national selectors since his one-day debut in Australia in February last year, he seems keen to cash in on Indian cricket's age-old connection with movies.
