Wiseman announces retirement
Former New Zealand Test off-spinner Paul Wiseman is to retire at the end of this season.
He is set to retire at the end of this season to begin a coaching career with Canterbury.
Durham bowler Wiseman made his debut for the county three years ago and was in the team which last season clinched the county's first championship title by beating Kent at Canterbury.
The 39-year-old, who has played 25 Tests, said: "I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with Durham County Cricket Club, whose success over the last few years I have been proud to be a part of.
"I will leave the Club with some great memories and will continue to play whatever part I can for Durham for the remainder of the season."
Durham coach Geoff Cook added: "Paul's experience has been a real asset to the side - and while we are sad to see him go, the opportunity he has been offered is an excellent one. We wish him the best of luck in his new role."
