BCCI delays India's SL fixtures
BCCI will finalise fixtures for the September tri-series in Sri Lanka involving New Zealand only after a meeting in August.
There was some uncertainty over the tournament, which BCCI secretary N Srinivasan said would be "practice" ahead of the Champions Trophy in September in South Africa.
Sri Lanka and New Zealand are scheduled to play a full series under the Future Tours Programme, but a tri-series was not a part of it.
The BCCI tours programme and fixtures committee, chaired by BCCI vice-president Lalit Modi, has also finalised venues for the seven-match one-day series against Australia immediately after the Champions Trophy and the T20 Champions League.
Guwahati, Mumbai, Jaipur, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Mohali and Nagpur would host the matches which are scheduled to be held between October 25 and November 11.
"The match schedule would be finalised after the logistics are worked out," Srinivasan said.
The Indian team faces little rest in the latter half of the year with a full series against Sri Lanka being scheduled soon after the one-day series against Australia.
Sri Lanka are scheduled to play three Tests and five one-dayers in November-December, but those dates too would be decided at the working committee meeting next month.
