The PCB says it is satisfied with the security arrangements made for Younis Khan and his men in Sri Lanka.

PCB chairman Ejaz Butt's comments came after media reports from Colombo stated that the Sri Lankan Board has been told about possible threats of an attack on the Pakistan team on their current tour.

"We are satisfied with the arrangements"

The Sri Lankan board didn't specify the nature of the threats but media reports said security cover around the Pakistani team has been tightened after this.

"We are totally satisfied with the arrangements made for our players. Our manager, Yawar Saeed has also sent a report stating the security arrangements are top class," Butt said.

He said the Sri Lankan board was providing Presidential level security to the Pakistani players.

"We had sent a few suggestions to our counterparts and they have incorporated them in the security plan for our team. We have full confidence in the Sri Lankan arrangements," he said.

Pakistan will play their first Test from July 4 in Galle.

The tour is significant in the background of the terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan team while they were in Lahore in March to play a Test match.

The attack left six Sri Lankan players and their assistant coach wounded.
