"Don't blame India for isolation"
Blaming India for isolation in international cricket is harming Pakistan, feels former PCB chief Khalid Mehmood.
The former PCB chief also said that Pakistan needs to have strong ties with the neighbouring nation to
find a way out of the current turmoil.
"Whether we like it or not India is a big strength and influence in world cricket and we need to have cordial
relations with them to find solutions to our problems," Mehmood, who was PCB Chairman between 1996
and 1999, said.
Meanwhile, the PCB has expressed its reservations over two members of the ICC special task force
which will help Pakistan cricket that has been badly hit because of the security situation in the country.
A board official said Pakistan had conveyed its reservations to the ICC on two members of the task force
who apparently belong to Asian Test playing nations.
The task force is headed by the Chairman of the England and Wales Cricket Board, Giles Clarke to whom
Pakistan has no objection.
The task force is expected to visit Pakistan to meet with board and government officials and study ground
realities in a bid to help the country out of its current crisis that has deepened with the shifting of the 2011
World Cup matches from here.
