Injured Mortaza to return home

Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Mortaza has been dropped from the team for the ODIs against the West Indies due to a knee injury.

Mortaza injured his knee while bowling during the first Test and had watched from the sidelines as his team secured victory.

The injury-prone fast bowler was dropped for the second Test currently in progress and will now return home as he has not yet recovered from his injury.

The 25-year old paceman underwent an MRI scan on July 14 in Grenada and the initial report suggested he had a muscle stress in the knee.

The paceman will now return home at the end of the second Test, along with fellow paceman Shahadat Hossain, left-arm spinner Enamul Haq Junior and wicketkeeper Sahgir Hossain.

Bangladesh will play three one-dayers and a Twenty20 against the West Indies.
