Aamir Sohail has resigned as director of Pakistan's National Cricket Academy.

The former Pakistan batsman cited personal reasons for his decision with a spiky relationship with Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Ijaz Butt reportedly at the root of the problem.

Aamir told www.pakpassion.net: "I can confirm that I have decided to resign from the post of director of the National Cricket Academy and Game Development with immediate effect.

"I have resigned due to personal reasons as I wasn't enjoying the job any longer and getting any sort of job satisfaction out of the role."
