England lost their first wicket in Jow Denly after Australia finished their innings at 145/4.

Brett Lee drew the first blood as he sent Denly packing, with Nathan Hauritz taking an easy catch.

Mitchell Johnson then claimed Ravi Bopara's wicket, Shane Watson taking the catch.

England had won the toss. Stuart Broad struck first for the hosts as the youngster lured Shane Watson into playing an easy catch to Ravi Bopara.

Paul Collingwood then sent packing the other opener David Warner.

Two deliveries later, David Hussey lost his wicket to a quick stumping by Matt Prior off Collingwood.

Broad then accounted for Cameron White as Collingwood made no mistake in taking the catch.
