Adam Voges gets ODI call

Adam Voges - who famously missed Australia's tour of South Africa because of his wedding - has been added to the one-day squad.

The 29-year-old replaces injured wicketkeeper Brad Haddin, who had surgery on a fractured finger last week.

Voges was recalled to the national team for the ICC Champions Trophy and the two Twenty20 matches against England - he scored an unbeaten 11 in the opening match at Old Trafford - but has now been included in the 50-over format as well.

National Selection Panel chairman Andrew Hilditch said: "With Brad Haddin's injury, the NSP has taken the opportunity to add Adam Voges to Australia's squad for the seven one-day internationals against England.

"Adam will now stay with the squad for the remainder of the VB Tour of England before travelling with the team to the ICC Champions Trophy in South Africa."

Voges last week spoke of his relief after receiving the call to take his place in the Australian squad, after initially fearing he may never play for his country again.

"There was never going to be any guarantees that I'd get further selection," Voges said.

"They (the selectors) always said from the start that there wasn't going to be any hard feelings, and to still be in their minds and still be seen as an option for Australia is great."
