PCB to finalise venues for NZ ODI's
PCB chairman Ejaz Butt will finalise the venues for the ODI series against New Zealand this week.
Butt confirmed that he would be meeting Emirates board officials and representatives of the Dubai Sports City to discuss the terms and conditions for the one-day series to be organised in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
"We want to reach an agreement with them that is acceptable to us and them as well. We are keen to make some money out of the series," Butt said.
New Zealand were supposed to tour Pakistan to play three Tests and five one-day internationals in October-November this year but have pulled out of the tour due to the security situation in the country.
New Zealand have, however, agreed to host the three Tests from November 24 against Pakistan and treat it as a 'home series' for Pakistan.
But the venues for the one-day series remain to be finalised with initial discussions between the PCB and emirate officials failing due to some demands made by the Dubai sports city.
Butt said he was confident that an agreement would be reached with the Emirates officials for the New Zealand series and pointed out that if nothing happened they were other neutral venue options available to Pakistan.
