Flamboyant opener Virender Sehwag, who will play in the Irani Cup, is looking for some important match practice.

Sehwag will lead the Rest of India squad against Mumbai in the Irani Cup and he is looking for some important match practice ahead of the Champions League and the seven match one-day series against Australia.

"I am near normal and improving by each game," he said.

The right-hander has been out of action for almost four months after undergoing a shoulder operation following an injury he sustained during the second edition of the Indian Premier League in South Africa earlier this year.

The injury also saw Sehwag miss the Twenty20 World Cup in England, the One-day series in the West Indies, the tri-nation ODI Compaq Cup in Sri Lanka and the ongoing Champions Trophy in South Africa.
