According to details, PCB chairman Ejaz Butt and Chief Operating Officer Wasim Bari have been asked to attend the hearing in Islamabad to explain the termination of former COO, Salim Altaf, the resignation of chief selector Abdul Qadir and the appointment of bureaucrat Shafqat Naghmi as COO in 2007.

Zakir Khan had represented the board at the last meeting of the sub-committee on October 20 at which the members pointed out that it seemed the top officials of the board didn't give much importance to the proceedings or inquiries.

The sub committee had told Zakir to convey this to Butt and ask him to ensure top officials attended the next hearing on November 23.

The head of the sub-committee, MNA Saud Majeed said the committee wanted answers on various issues concerning the board and its administrative affairs.

"We have conveyed to the board that they should take us seriously because we want to recommend steps that can improve the working of the board and Pakistan cricket affairs," Majeed said.
