Henriques ruled out of fifth ODI
Australia were dealt another injury blow with all-rounder Moises Henriques ruled out of the fifth ODI against India in Hyderabad.
Henriques hurt his right hamstring in the field during his team’s 24 run victory against the hosts at Mohali in the fourth ODI on Monday.
"Henriques has suffered a right hamstring injury and will not be playing tomorrow's ODI," Australia coach Tim Nielsen told reporters in Hyderabad.
Strike bowler Brett Lee, wicketkeeper Tim Paine, all-rounder James Hopes and more recently pacer Peter Siddle have already had to go back to Australia in the course of the series after sustaining injuries.
The New South Wales Blues cricketer had been flown back from home to replace the injured Hopes. However, with Henriques set to miss tomorrow’s match, it clears the way for an ODI debut for either left arm spinner Jon Holland or speedster Clint McKay.

Meanwhile, a Cricket Australia release quoted physiotherapist Alex Kountouris as saying that Lee will be able to resume bowling “some time next week” while Paine will not need to go through surgery for his broken finger.
“Tim Paine saw a hand specialist in Melbourne today and Tim doesn’t require surgery to the fractured ring finger of his left hand. He will recommence cricket training in approximately three weeks time.”
Aussie skipper Ricky Ponting had already gone on record before the ongoing series kicked off to say that seven matches are too much. He was then seconded by his former wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist (in an exclusive to espnstar.com) and by fast bowler Mitchell Johnson.
India and Australia are now tied at 2-2 with three matches still to be played.
