Player ratings: India vs Australia

Here is a look at how India and Australia's players performed in the sixth ODI in Guwahati, which Australia won comfortably.

India

Sachin Tendulkar - 3

After a stunning performance in Hyderabad, the batting maestro could not live up to the expectations and lost his wicket to Doug Bollinger at just 10 runs.

Virender Sehwag - 3

Sehwag managed only six runs from four balls before getting out in the very first over.

Gautam Gambhir - 3

The Indian opener failed to open his account and departed in the opening over of the innings.

Yuvraj Singh- 3

With top three back to the pavilion, the onus was on Yuvraj Singh to steady the rocking Indian ship but the southpaw southpaw could not rise to the occasion.

MS Dhoni- 4

The skipper tried to stick around for some time to lead India to a respectable total, but all he could manage was a meagre 24 off 77 balls.

Suresh Raina- 3

Raina could not do anything with the bat, failing to even open his account. He, however, snapped up Cameron White, which was of little conseuqnce in any case.

Ravindra Jadeja- 7

Jadeja, along with Praveen Kumar, was the only one to withstand the Australian attack. He made a crucial 57 to help India cross the 100-run mark.

Harbhajan Singh- 6

With such a low score to defend, Harbhajan tried his best to delay Australia's victory march by dismissing dangermen Shane Watson and Ricky Ponting.

Ashish Nehra - 3

Nehra disappointed in Guwahati as well. His three overs were of little use.

Praveen Kumar- 7

Praveen hit a quick 54 off 51 and remained unbeaten in India's score of 170 runs.

Munaf Patel- 3

Munaf dismissed opener Shaun Marsh early but like all of his pace bowling colleagues, the lanky right armer had little to contribute.

Australia

Shane Watson- 9

The all-rounder hit a quick-fire 49 off 49 balls in his side's 171-run chase. He also accounted for two wickets for 27 runs to wrap up the Indian innings.

Shaun Marsh- 2

The Aussie opener had a low-key match and just managed to put six runs against his name.

Ricky Ponting- 5

Punter put in another solid display with the bat and his 25 off 57 balls were good enough in a low scoring affair and a tricky wicket

Cameron White- 4

With not much left for him to do, White took it easy and scored 25 runs off 48 balls.

Michael Hussey- 6

Hussey saw to it that Australia finished the match comfortably and remained unbeaten on 35 off 62 balls.

Adam Voges- 4

Voges came in when the job had all been done by his team. However, a 23 off 21 balls ensured there were no hiccups towards the end.

Graham Manou- 4

Manou did not get a chance to bat but was competent behind the stumps.

Nathan Hauritz - 7

Though the off-spinner could not claim a wicket, he was instrumental in restricting India as he just gave away only 19 runs in his 9 overs.

Doug Bollinger- 10

Bollinger did most of the damage by dismissing five Indian batsmen, including the big fish - Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni.

Mitchell Johnson- 9

Johnson started the Indian downslide by dismissing openers Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir early and then packing off Suresh Raina to claim his third wicket.

Clint McKay- 4

McKay impressed on debut and continued the good work, supporting Bollinger and Johnson during their spells.
