Another injury blow for Brett Lee
Australian speedster Brett Lee is out of contention for the first Test against the West Indies in Brisbane next week.
As reported in 'The Sydney Morning Herald', Lee has been ruled out of NSW's Sheffield Shield match against Tasmania starting on Tuesday following a reaction to his elbow complaint from Sunday's one-day clash against the Tigers at North Sydney Oval.
"Brett Lee was not considered for this match after suffering a reaction to his elbow injury," Cricket NSW said in statement on Monday.
"Brett remains upbeat at this stage but will seek advice on the next course of action regarding further treatment on the injury."
The Sheffield Shield clash was viewed as Lee's chance to impress national selectors for a Test recall following a frustrating 12 months for the quick.
Lee, Australia's fourth-highest Test wicket-taker, has not played a Test since grimacing through last year's Boxing Day clash at the MCG.
Following the match, he had ankle and foot surgery before a side strain cruelled his chances of playing in the Ashes series.

Lee regained full fitness and impressed during Australia's successful one-day campaigns in the Champions Trophy and in England.
But an elbow complaint in the recent series in India further hindered his progress.
