SA-Eng first ODI abandoned
The first ODI between England and South Africa was abandoned after heavy rains continued to lash Johannesburg for the third day in succession.
The South African city received 40 mm of rains in the last three days. After a long wait and repeated inspections, the umpires decided to call the match off.
In fact, the teams were forced to practice indoors on Wednesday with the rains refusing to go away.
England off spinner Graeme Swann was, meanwhile, ruled out of the first two ODIs.
