
Sehwag tops batting charts
Indian opener Virender Sehwag, who broke a number of records en-route to his epic 293 in the third Test, topped the batting charts.
Sehwag scored a total of 491 runs from three matches at an outstanding average of 122.75.
The Delhi dasher and the man-of-the-series, who missed out to become the only batsman in history to score three triple tons, had scored another century and a fifty besides the 293 from the four innings he played in the series.
Rahul Dravid occupied overall second in the batting chart with 433 runs from three matches at an average of 108.25. The former India captain scored two centuries and a fifty from four innings.
Mahela Jayawardene was the highest scorer among the Lankans and third overall with 373 runs (average 74.60) followed by Prasanna Jayawardene with 297 runs (average 74.25), Tillakaratne Dilshan (248; average 49.60), Kumar Sangakkara (241; 48.20) and Tharanga Paranavitana (200; 40).

Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh claimed the most wickets with 13 scalps from three matches but conceded 533 runs, which is huge by his standard.
Pacer Zaheer took 10 wickets from the three matches while S Sreesanth and Pragyan Ojha also made impacts with eight and nine wickets from two matches each. .
