Pakistan eye up India series
Pakistan are hoping to face India in one-day action on neutral territory in a bid to claw back their financial deficits.
Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Ijaz Butt told reporters today that a series against India would help in addressing the losses made since teams refused to travel to the country on security grounds.
Butt said the PCB was more than two-thirds down on its revenue in the last year through TV and sponsorship because of scrapping tours.
"We lost some 40 million US dollars due to the cancellation of the India series last year and this huge loss can only be covered if we play India, even on neutral venues," said Butt.
Indian government advice is against playing Pakistan at present outside of official International Cricket Council events following the Mumbai attacks in November 2008, which authorities pinned on a Pakistan-based extremist group.

Pakistan lost the delayed 2008 Champions Trophy due to safety fears around cricket's international community - increased by the terror attack on the Sri Lankan team in Lahore nine months ago.
Butt added: "We have been forced to play our series away from home and I toured India last month to convince them to play us on neutral venues. If they agree we can arrange that."
