Razzaq ruled out of one-day series
All-rounder Abdul Razzaq was ruled out of the forthcoming five-match ODI series against Australia due to a finger injury.
Pakistan's most experienced all-rounder and ODI specialist Razzaq confirmed that he would not be available for the ODI series after fracturing his finger during a club match in Lahore.
"It is most unfortunate what happened but it was a freak incident. I was batting and injured my finger while trying to negotiate a full toss from the bowler," Razzaq told PTI.
The all-rounder said doctors have ruled him out of the cricketing action for a month, which means he would not be available for the series in Australia.
"I am very disappointed because I was eagerly awaiting the one-day series in Australia after being dropped for the Test matches," he said.
Razzaq who has played 237 one-dayers for Pakistan has been a regular member of the ODI and T20 teams since he made a comeback to the national team last year in June in the T20 World Cup after leaving the unofficial Indian Cricket League for whom he played since 2007.
Razzaq said he was also disappointed by the team's defeat in the second Test in Sydney and the players had batted poorly.
