Ireland secure World T20 berth

Ireland booked their place at May's World Twenty20 tournament following a 65-run victory over Holland in Dubai.

The Irish needed to win their final Super Four match against the Dutch to book their passage and join Afghanistan in securing their place to the 12-team tournament in the Caribbean.

Ireland batted first and after Alex Cusack struck 65 from 44 balls they reached a competitive 151 for six.

Holland never threatened to chase down that target as they were bowled out for 86 from 15.3 overs.

George Dockrell wrecked the Dutch batting order with figures of 20 for four while Peter Connell and Trent Johnston chipped in with two wickets apiece.

The winners of the final will join India and South Africa in Group C of the World Twenty20 while the the losers will slot into Group D alongside England and West Indies.
