Waiting in long queues to buy a ticket, to watch your cricketing heroes on the field, is passé. For, fans are now buying tickets for the mega event online, with just a click.

Taking a cue from the Indian Premier League (IPL), the International Cricket Council (ICC) has roped in Kyazoonga.com -- India's first and largest sports and entertainment ticketing company -- as the official ticketing partner for cricket's biggest meet.

Already a huge hit, this unique concept will allow fans from every corner of the globe to be a part of the event. Prominent stands in some of the venues have already been already sold out.

The online initiative will provide users with a number of options, from offering several innovative and customer-friendly features such as ‘multiple currency' options and ‘view from the stand'- that will allow fans to select the stand of their choice while purchasing the ticket online.

"We are truly excited about going global with our partnership with the ICC. The World Cup is the final word when it comes to global cricketing competition and we are proud to have been appointed its Official Ticketing Partner", said, Neetu Bhatia, Chairman and CEO of Kyazoonga.

The fans can also go for interesting packages such as "Follow your Team", "Love your City" or "Be a Great Host" to help fans plan their itinerary well in advance.

Asked about the mode of payment and its authenticity, Bhatia said: "The system is absolutely safe and secure, with no chance of any malfunction."

Tickets on the site went on sale from June 1 and Sharad Pawar, the ICC president-in-waiting and chairman of the central organizing committee, was the first buyer.
