ESPNSTAR.com's resident statistician, Rajesh Kumar, brings to you the highs and lows from the Day Three of the second Test between Pakistan vs England in Abu Dhabi.
- England (329) have recorded their highest total at neutral venue. In their only previous Test against Pakistan at Dubai (DSC) in January 2012, England had made 192 & 160.
- Stuart Broad (58 not out off 62 balls) has posted his first fifty against Pakistan - his ninth in Tests.
- Broad's aforesaid innings is his second best against Pakistan, next only to the 169 at Lord's in August 2010.
- Broad's strike rate of 93.54 (58 off 62 balls) is his second highest when he has posted fifty or more in a Test innings, surpassing his strike rate of 56.90 while registering a century against Pakistan (as above).
- Broad enjoys an impressive record against Pakistan - 333 runs in nine innings at an average of 41.62 as against his career average of 29.54.
- Saeed Ajmal has bagged 35 wickets at an average of 26.28 in six Tests at neutral venues(UAE) - a record for a bowler - the next best tally is 31 (ave.32.90) in nine Tests by Umar Gul.
- Mohammad Hafeez (3/54) has recorded his best bowling figures against England.
- Since claiming 3 for 65 against India at Chennai in December 2008, Monty Panesar has claimed three wickets in an innings after three years - 3 for 44
- Monty Panesar has recorded his 15th duck in Tests - his second against Pakistan.
- Panesar, as number eleventh batsman, has recorded ten ducks in 36 innings.
