'BCCI taking care of Yuvraj'
Yuvraj Singh’s manager said on Monday that the Indian cricketer’s cancer treatment was being taken care of by the BCCI.

Sports Minister Ajay Maken had earlier tweeted that the Government would help the ailing Indian cricketer in his battle for cancer. Given the obvious differences between the Sports Ministry and the BCCI, this appeared to be a sensitive case.
However, Yuvraj’s manager Nishant Arora clarified the ‘finances and everything else’ was being looked after by the BCCI. The board had been made aware of the Indian southpaw’s medical condition much before the rest of the world got to know.
“Yuvraj is contracted with the BCCI and they are like his guardians. The board has been like true guardians to Yuvi -- they have been in constant touch with him and his family, be it the president or the secretary. The BCCI is taking care of his treatment -- finances and everything else,” Arora said at a press conference at a New Delhi hospital.
"Yuvraj's treatment was delayed"
Yuvraj, who won the Man of the Tournament in the World Cup last year with 362 runs and 15 wickets, has been undergoing chemotherapy since January 25 this year for a condition called ‘Extragonadal Seminoma’ located between his lungs rather than in his lungs. The doctors treating the cricketer are hopeful of curing the cancer.
Meanwhile, Arora and Yuvraj’s doctors pleaded with the media to leave the flamboyant all-rounder alone and not bother his family with any questions. The media have wanted to know where exactly in the US Yuvraj was located, speculating on Boston or New York.
“We would not reveal where Yuvraj is unless he himself wants you to know. I know everyone wishes him well but you have to respect his privacy,” Arora said.
