Lankan Tests may clash with second IPL

Sri Lankan players may miss out on a chunk of the second edition of the IPL as the dates clash with their England Test series.

The two-Test series kicks off on May 7 next year. Severaln Sri Lankans stars have signed three-year deals with the IPL, whose second edition is to run from 10 April to 29 May.

Sri Lankans Kumara Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardene, Chaminda Vaas were amongst the prominent islanders to participate in the cash rich league.

The lates clasing of dates may create a bit of a conflict between England and India when they meet in London this week with the England and Wales Cricket Board seeking assurances that international tours will always take precedence over the IPL.
