Mendis up for Indian challenge

Sri Lankan spinner Ajantha Menon says he is keen to confront the Big Four of Indian cricket when the three Test series kicks off.

Speaking to an Indian news channel, Menids, who destroyed India's batting in the STAR Cricket Asia Cup said Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar would be a prize scalp.

Sri Lankan Cricket Charirman Arjuna Ranatunga is effusive in his praise for the country's latest sensation: "He has five deliveries and he is mastering one more delivery. It's very interesting. The batsmen have to be at him all the time. If you just take concentration out,you will be gone."

India and Sri Lanka face off for the first Test on July 23. Tendulkar, with his 69 from 76 deliveries against Sri Lanka Baord XI he is all set to take on the Lankan bowling might.
