Strydom steps down as CSA chief

Joubert Strydom has resigned as South Africa's chairman of selectors for personal and business reasons after four years.

Cricket South Africa have "reluctantly accepted" Strydom's decision to quit after four years on the panel - a year of which was in the top role.

CSA chief executive Gerald Majola said: "We fully understand these reasons.

"CSA would like to thank Joubert for his positive contribution to the progress of South African cricket and the Proteas. CSA wishes him well for the future."

Strydom's resignation takes effect from the end of July. The new selection panel will be elected at CSA's annual general meeting on August 8.
