Harbhajan keen to impress
Off spinner Harbhajan Singh is determined to show his worth in the team after coming back to the big league after three months.
Speaking to a television channel, Bhajji said: "I will look to contribute whenever I go into the field. If I have not taken wickets, I would try and score runs lower down the order or take a brilliant catch and maybe affect a run out."
"The Turbonator" also said he knew there are lots of expectations from him and he would do the best he can to live up to them.
"I know people expect a lot from me. I was the Man of the Series in the last Test series we played and I have been in good form."
The chirpy off spinner made it clear there would be no pressure on him and his spinning colleagues in the team, Anil Kumble and Pragyan Ojha to counter the hype by Muttiah Muralitharan and Ajantha Mendis.
"We are not looking at what they are doing. We have come here to play some good cricket and that is what we would try to do."
Harbhajan said he wants to put the 'Slapgate' behind him and is eagerly looking forward to the long season ahead.
