Asif B sample test put back
Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Asif's B sample will now be tested on August 6.
The 25-year-old tested positive for nandrolone following the Delhi Daredevils' Indian Premier League semi-final defeat to Rajasthan Royals in May.
The B sample was due to be tested on Monday but Asif's lawyer, Shahid Karim, revealed that had been delayed at the player's request.
"Hopefully, we will prepare a strong case by August 6," he told the Times of India.
Asif and Karim will be present when the sample is tested at a World Anti-Doping Agency-accredited laboratory in Switzerland.
The paceman tested positive for nandrolone in 2006 during an out-of-competition test conducted by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
He was initially banned for two years but the sentence was overturned on appeal.
Last month, Asif was detained at Dubai International Airport on suspicion of carrying drugs as he returned home to Pakistan after the IPL.
The charges were later dropped and he was deported.
The results of a PCB investigation into his detention are also expected to be revealed this week.
