NZC to undergo revamp
New Zealand Cricket is all set to undergo an organisational revamp.
The most notable change will be the creation of a new general manager of cricket post. That role will oversee all areas of high performance cricket, including the national side, which under the previous structure was a stand alone unit. The revamp will also see the disestablishment of the Black Caps general manager and high performance manager positions currently held by Lindsay Crocker and former New Zealand captain John Wright, respectively, with these areas set to combine under the area managed by the general manager of cricket.
In total, 11 positions have been disestablished across the organisation, including administrative and accountancy roles, while 20 new posts, including general manager cricket, Black Caps team manager, White Ferns (women) team manager and elite coaching manager, have been created.
"People who have had their positions disestablished have been encouraged to apply for new roles within the organisation and a number will be very strong candidates for newly created positions," NZC chief executive Justin Vaughan said.
