Sutcliffe calls time on career
Lancashire batsman Iain Sutcliffe has announced his retirement from first-class cricket with immediate effect.
The 33-year-old's last match was the LV County Championship Roses clash with Yorkshire, which ended in a draw at Old Trafford on Friday.
Sutcliffe, who has been with Lancashire since 2003, said: "It's been a great honour to play for a tremendous club like Lancashire."
He added: "I've had six fantastic seasons at Old Trafford and everyone at the club has been extremely supportive during this time.
"But I've been presented with some opportunities away from cricket, and I'm at a stage in my life where I need to explore these at the earliest opportunity."
