West Indies duo Dwayne Bravo and Xavier Marshall will miss out on cricket's largest pay-day after they were ruled out of the Stanford Superstars squad.

Chairman of the Stanford Superstars Selection Panel, Sir Vivian Richards, made the announcement in a press statement on Tuesday with West Indies all-rounder Darren Sammy and 31-year-old batsman Travis Dowlin, who has not appeared on the international stage, called in as replacements.

Bravo's omission had been expected after he underwent surgery on his troublesome left ankle in New York late last month. Marshall's omission was not explained in the press statement.

Bravo had planned to have the operation following the Stanford series, but opted to bring the procedure forward after it prevented him from playing in the Tri-Nations series in Canada last month.

Marshall, who hit a one-day international record 12 sixes in an innings against Canada last month, appeared in a local Jamaica league match at the weekend.

The Superstars squad will assemble in Coolidge, Antigua on Thursday to begin a six-week preparatory training camp under the guidance of head coach and former West Indies international Eldine Baptiste.

Shivnarine Chanderpaul, who was named Cricketer of the Year last week, will be the only member of the 17-man squad not to join the team as he finishes his commitments with English County side Durham.

The Stanford Superstars will play England in a Twenty20 match on November 1, with a prize-pool of US$20 million representing the largest prize in the history of team sport.
