Murali Vijay and Pragyan Ojha were released from the Indian Test squad and will return to play Ranji Trophy matches.

"As per the policy of the Board, Murali Vijay and Pragyan Ojha have been released from the Indian Test squad, to assist their respective sides in the Ranji Trophy," BCCI Secretary N Srinivasan said in a statement.

"Vijay will play in Tamil Nadu's match against Punjab, which begins at Amritsar tomorrow, and Ojha will figure in Hyderabad's encounter against Gujarat, which commences in Hyderabad tomorrow," he said.

Vijay and Ojha were included in the 15-member squad for the first two Tests of the ongoing three-match series against Sri Lanka
