"You are a good man, Shah Rukh"

"You are a good man, Shah Rukh"

Bollywood star SRK turned up at the final episode of Sourav Ganguly's TV quiz show, Dadagiri.

With Indian Premier League III beckoning, it was time for Shah Rukh Khan to do some PR exercise with Kolkata's cricket fans.

What could have been a better occasion than touching base with your team's captain, Sourav Ganguly? Bollywood's King Khan was at Ganguly's television show - DADAGIRI - on a popular entertainment channel. It was the final episode of the Ganguly's extremely well-liked programme in Kolkata on Sunday night and Shah Rukh chose to be the chief guest on a big night when Prince was playing host-cum-anchor.

Ganguly's relationship with SRK came under the scanner last year when John Buchanan chose Brendan McCullum ahead of Ganguly to skipper Knight Riders. Buchanan's multiple-captain policy dug a dagger deep into Ganguly's heart and Kolkata did not like it one bit. There were even murmurs that SRK would be dropping the name Kolkata after KKR finished last in IPL 2 played in South Africa. But then in a dramatic turnaround, Buchanan was sacked and Ganguly was back at the helm.

King Khan chose DADAGIRI as a platform to tell Ganguly that "you will be my Badshah." Ganguly was visibly euphoric. Beaming from ear-to-ear, he profusely praised SRK for taking time off to be at his grand finale.

"I tell from the bottom of my heart that you are a real good man. I always knew that and today I am firm in my belief," Ganguly said bowing down to the Bollywood star.

Will this bonhomie help a happy and united Knight Riders turn their fortunes around this time?
