Malik wants ICC to intervene
Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik fears Pakistan could become an "isolated cricket nation" and urged the ICC to intervene.
The middle order batsman is worried that teams round the world would continue to refuse to tour his country.
Pakistan have been short of international cricket this year after Australia indefinitely postponed a scheduled series in March due to security concerns, while the Champions Trophy was also postponed.
Pakistan have desperately tried to arrange a series with South Africa and Sri Lanka in compensation for the postponed Champions Trophy, but those efforts have also failed.
"It is very frustrating for the players the way two important events have been postponed this year," Malik said.
"It is so depressing that despite being a major cricket playing nation we have not played a Test match this year.
"The ICC (International Cricket Council) should step in and play a more decisive role
"If teams keep refusing to tour Pakistan despite assurances even from our government, we will become an isolated cricket nation."
