No Asif decision until Sunday

Pakistan pacer Mohammad Asif will remain in detention in Dubai until Sunday when his case comes up in a special drugs court.

Asif was detained by authorities early on Sunday at Dubai International Airport on suspicion of possession of drugs after a small quantity of powder was found in his wallet by United Arab Emirates customs officials.

Pakistan Cricket Board media manager Raza Rashid said: "The court has taken Asif's statement. The next hearing of the case will be on Sunday. No charges have been made as yet."

Friday and Saturday are holidays in the Middle East.

Blood and urine tests have been carried out on Asif and the powder in his possession was sent to a laboratory for analysis.
