While Rahul Dravid's form has come under scrutiny of late, there is another player who is making heads turn with his performance in the domestic cricket. Tanmay Srivastava, considered an understudy of Dravid, has played some crucial knocks for his team Uttar Pradesh this season.

Srivastav, who has spent five weeks at Australia's Center of Excellence says the difference is already showing.

Tanmay has been making the headlines for some time now. He was the top scorer in India's victorious U-19 World Cup campaign in February this year. He scored 262 runs at 52.4 including a vital 43 in India's victory in the final against a strong South African side. Still in his teen, the left hand batsman is being compared right up there with the greats.

Gyanender Pandit, Ranji team coach of Uttar Pradesh opines the young gun has it in him to make it big.

He is a very disciplined player and no one can stop him from making it to team India is he carries on like this.

Contracted with the Kings XI Punjab, Tanmay had a strike rate of more than 88 in the inaugural Indian Premier League tournament. His average of almost 60 in the current Ranji season has shown his adaptability to the longer version of the game as well. That indeed is good news for the national selectors who are looking around for talents who could qualify for the Fab Four league.
