
SA face Lanka in CT opener
Hosts South Africa will meet Sri Lanka in the opening game of the Champions Trophy, it was announced on Monday.
The Proteas, who will stage the event after it was postponed due to security concerns in Pakistan last September, will take on the Sri Lankans in Centurion on September 22.The first match at the other venue, Johannesburg, takes place the following day when Pakistan meet West Indies.
England's opener is against Sri Lanka at the Wanderers on September 25.
They then meet South Africa on September 27 before finishing their Group B campaign against New Zealand on September 29.
The top two sides in each group advance to the semi-finals with the final to be played in Centurion on Monday, October 5.
