Highest Innings Total: Australia became the only team to register a total of 600-plus in the series - 674 for six wickets declared at Cardiff - the fourth highest by Australia against England.
Lowest Innings Total: England's 102 in the Leeds Test remains the lowest total in the just concluded series.
Biggest win: Australia won the Leeds Test by an innings and 80 runs - their biggest Test win this year.
Ponting's dubious distinction: Ricky Ponting became the first Australian skipper to lose two successive Test series against England in England - 2-1 in 2005 and 2-1 in 2009.
Four centuries in an innings: Simon Katich (122), Ricky Ponting (150), Marcus North (125 not out) and Brad Haddin (121) have registered hundreds in Australia's total of 674 for six wickets declared at Cardiff - a record for Australia in an Ashes Test.
Two centuries each: Both Marcus North and Michael Clarke have recorded two centuries each in the series.
Highest individual innings: Andrew Strauss' 161 in the Lord's Test is the highest individual innings in the series. The only other batsman to have played an innings of 150 is Ricky Ponting - at Lord's.
Most sixes in an innings: Only two batsmen could register three sixes in an innings - Brad Haddin (121 at Cardiff) and Stuart Clark (32 at Leeds).
Best Bowling in an innings: Stuart Broad, with six for 91 in the Leeds Test, is the only bowler to bag six wickets in the series apart from becoming the only one to produce two five-wicket hauls - his other instance being 5 for 37 at The Oval.
Leading wicket-taker: Ben Hilfenhaus has finished as the leading wicket-taker in the series - 22 at an average of 27.45. The only two other bowlers to have claimed 20 wickets in the series are: Peter Siddle (20 at 30.80) and Mitchell Johnson (20 at 32.55).
Man of the Match awards: Ricky Ponting, Andrew Flintoff, Michael Clarke, Marcus North and Stuart Broad have each got one Man of the Match award.
Player of the series award: Andrew Struass, with 474 runs at an average of 52.66, is the leading run-getter in the series. He deservingly got the award for England thanks to his brilliant batting and excellent captaincy. For Australia, Michael Clarke is named the Player of the series for aggregating 448 at an average of 64.00. He, in fact, headed the batting averages.
Highest partnership for any wicket: Simon Katich and Ricky Ponting had shared a 239-run stand for the second wicket at Cardiff. The only other pair to put on a 200-run stand was Marcus North and Brad Haddin for the sixth wicket at Cardiff.
Most dismissals by a wicketkeeper: Brad Haddin, with 15 dismissals (all caught) in four Tests is the leading wicketkeeper.
Most catches by a fielder: Ricky Ponting, with 11 catches, has finished the series as the leading fielder. Ponting's career tally of 159 catches is exceeded only by Mark Waugh (181) for Australia in Tests.
