A top-class bowling effort from Doug Bollinger ensured a fantastic win for Australia.

It was his second five-wicket haul. His outstanding spell earned him his second Man-of-the-Match award.

With his best effort in the series, Australia won the series convincingly, which according to Ricky Ponting is the most satisfying series win he has been involved in.

Highlights: 

- Doug Bollinger (5/35) has emulated his career-best bowling performance - his second five-wicket haul. He had first claimed five wickets in an innings (5/35) against Pakistan at Abu Dhabi on May 1, 2009.

- Bollinger is the third Australian bowler to bag five wickets in an innings against India in India, joining Damien Fleming (5/36 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on February 27, 1996) and Mitchell Johnson (5/26 at Vadodara on October 11, 2007.

- Bollinger is the first visiting bowler to take five wickets in an innings at Nehru Stadium, Guwahati. India's Robin Singh (5/22) is the only other bowler to produce a five-wicket haul at this venue - against Sri Lanka on December 22, 1997.

- For the first time in ODIs, Bollinger has bowled four maiden overs in an innings.
