ESPNSTAR.com's resident stats expert Rajesh Kumar brings to you all the key numbers from the second game of the tri-series between India and Sri Lanka.

- For the first time at WACA Ground, Perth, India have recorded two wins in succession - by 4 wickets against Zimbabwe on February 3, 2004 and by 4 wickets against Sri Lanka on February 8, 2012.
 
- Overall, India have won four games at WACA, Perth - one each against Australia, Zimbabwe, New Zealand and Sri Lanka.  India have lost five games and tied one at this venue.
 
- For the first time in Australia, India have won three consecutive games over Sri Lanka - by 2 wickets at
Adelaide on February 19, 2008; by 7 wickets at Hobart
on February 26, 2008 and by 4 wickets at WACA Ground, Perth on February 8, 2012.
 
- Two double centurions - Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag - have opened an innings for the first time in  ODIs.
 
- Praveen Kumar has failed to capture a wicket in his last three ODIs - one each against England, Australia and Sri Lanka.  His tally is just five in his last ten ODIs at 78.80 runs apiece - the strike rate being 87.6.  
 
- Ashwin's unbeaten 30 is his second highest against Sri Lanka, next only to the 38 (career-best) at Harare on June 5, 2010.
 
- Ashwin, for the second time, has claimed three wickets besides recording 30 or more in the same match - the first instance being against England - 36 not out + 3/40 - at The Oval on September 9, 2011 (England had won by 3 wickets).
 
- Ashwin has got his first Man of the Match award in ODIs. 
 
- India (234/6) have posted their highest total at WACA Ground, Perth, eclipsng the 227 against England on February 22, 1992.
 
- India's above total is their second highest successful chase against Sri Lanka in Australia - the highest is 239 for eight at Adelaide on February 19, 2008.
 
- Sri Lanka (233/8) have posted their second highest against India in Australia - their highest is 238 for six at Adelaide on February 19, 2008.
 
- Ashwin and Jadeja were involved in an unbroken stand of 53 - India's highest seventh wicket partnership at Perth.
 
- The above partnership is India's highest for the seventh wicket against Sri Lanka in Australia.
 
- Ravichandran Ashwin (3/32) has recorded his best bowling performance against Sri Lanka, eclipsing the 2 for 50 at Harare on June 5, 2010.
 
- Ashwin's above performance is his best away from home in ODIs, surpassing the 3 for 40 against England at The Oval on September 9, 2011.
 
- Zaheer Khan (2/44) has recorded his best bowling performance in ODIs in Australia, bettering the
8-0-46-2 for Asia XI against ICC World XI at MCG on January 10, 2005.
 
- Sachin became the first player to complete 3,000 runs against Sri Lanka in ODIs, aggregating 3031 at an average of 45.23 in 80 ODIs.  With 3,060 (ave.45.67) runs in 69 matches against Australia, he is the first batsman to manage 3,000 runs or more against two nations in ODIs.
 
- Sachin has amassed 2,000 runs or more against four opponents - the only batsman in the history of ODIs to do so.  Apart from his aggregates (as above) against Australia and Sri Lanka, he has managed 2,000 runs against South Africa (2001) and Pakistan (2474).
 
- Dinesh Chandimal (64) has posted his second consecutive innings of 50-plus against India.  He had recorded 111 off 118 balls at Harare on June 5, 2010.
 
- Chandimal has averaged 87.50 against India, aggregating 175 in two ODIs, including a hundred and a fifty. 
 
- Dhoni is the first Indian wicketkeeper to effect two stumpings in an ODI at WACA, Perth.  He is the third Indian wicketkeeper to effect two stumpings in an ODI in Australia, joining Sadanand Viswanath and Chandrakant Pandit.
 
- Two Sri Lankans - Sangakkara and Jayawardene have completed their 2,000 runs against India in ODIs.  The six leading run-scorers with 2,000 runs or more against India in ODIs are: Sanath Jayasuriya (2899), Inzamam-ul-Haq (2403), Ricky Ponting (2151), Kumar Sangakkara (2020), Mahela Jayawardene (2012) and Saeed Anwar (2002).
 
- Sachin (48) has recorded his highest innings at WACA Ground, Perth, surpassing the 36 against Australia on December 8, 1991.
 
- Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli were associated in a stand of 75 for the second wicket - India's highest at Perth
 
- Virat Kohli (77) has posted his sixth fifty against Sri Lanka - his 19th in ODIs.  During the course of his beautiful innings,  he has completed his 2,000 runs under Dhoni's captaincy, aggregating 2017 runs (ave.44.82) in 56 matches, including five centuries and twelve fifties.
