South Korean coach Choi Kang-Hee has stated his concern that the lack of regular match action may put skipper Park Chu-young's selection in doubt.

He travelled to the UK in the past week to observe his players based in Europe, but none of the eligible players were able to get any match action.

The only South Korean to take to the park over the weekend in the United Kingdom was the retired Park Ji-sung, as Arsenal's Park Chu-young, Celtic pair Ki Sung-yueng and Cha Du-ri along with Sunderland's Ji Dong-won all missed out.

Choi was particularly concerned over his captain Park Chu-young, who has managed only five appearances for the Gunners this season.

"He has at least some positive thoughts, as he is with a world-class team like Arsenal," Choi told the press at the airport upon his return, "But he is not playing in games and I felt that Park is not on Wenger's mind."

Another point of concern that Choi had was the travelling time for the players. The clubs are to release the players four days prior to the matchday, but the Korean coach doesn't feel that they will be able to be well-prepared with only a day's worth of training under their belt.

Choi added: "I haven't really learned much [from my trip]. Since players in foreign leagues are not playing in their games, I have a lot to consider."

"In reality, if we consider each club's situation, I think they will be able to join the team on February 27 but it's impossible that those players can show a strong performance with the team in just a day."
