Juve step-up interest in Rafinha

Juventus could be hurried into a move for Schalke defender Rafinha as Milan show interest in the promising right-back.

The Brazilian right-back has been a long-term target of Juventus, who are looking to offload Zdenek Grygera to fund the purchase.

However, reports from Italy suggest that Milan are now showing an interest in the former Coritiba player, with new boss Leonardo keen to strengthen his defence.

As a result Il Corriere dello Sport are reporting that Milan sporting director, Alessio Secco, will meet with Rafinha's agent today to discuss the transfer further.

It is believed that The Old Lady are now ready to meet Schalke's €10 million valuation - a decision that should put them in pole-position for the young defender.
