Bundesliga Saturday Review

Bayern Munich won their third straight Bundesliga game by beating Bavarian rivals Nurnberg 2-1 to go third in the table.

Ivica Olic broke Nurnberg's resistance in the 55th minute, but Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting equalised against the run of play in the 73rd minute.

Daniel Van Buyten provided the winner less than 10 minutes later as Louis van Gaal's men broke into the top three for the first time this season.

Hoffenheim stunned Borussia Monchengladbach with three goals in the final five minutes completing an amazing turnaround for a 4-2 win which took them fourth.

Gladbach were looking comfortable after two goals in the space of eight minutes from Juan Arango and Roberto Colautti put them 2-0 up early in the first half.

The visitors had a goal back shortly afterwards from Sejad Salihovic but still looked like losing until dramatic late strikes from Maicosuel, Chinedu Obasi Ogbuke and Demba Ba turned the game on its head.

Andre Schurrle struck a second-half brace as Mainz overturned a half-time deficit to edge a five-goal thriller at struggling Bochum.

Mimoun Azaouagh had put the hosts ahead in the seventh minute and Diego Klimowicz restored that advantage on the stroke of half-time after Andreas Ivanschitz's 44th-minute equaliser.

But the match was turned on its head after the interval, Schurrle notching after 52 and 71 minutes to move his side up to fifth and leave Bochum languishing third from bottom.

Hannover remained without a home Bundesliga win this season as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Borussia Dortmund.

The visitors dominated the first period and Nuri Sahin put them ahead on the stroke of half-time, but Hannover levelled three minutes into a second half they bossed courtesy of Didier Konan.

Today's other game sae Cologne win 2-0 at Stuttgart with goals from Sebastian Freis in the 25th minute and substitute Wilfried Sanou one minute from time.
