Wolfsburg vs Hannover Preview

Wolfsburg's Armin Veh is considering breaking up the attack after admitting he may listen to offers for Edin Dzeko.

Dzeko had his heart set on moving to AC Milan in the summer, but Wolfsburg declared the man who netted 26 times in the league last season was not for sale.

However, the situation has now changed and, with the Wolves struggling for their form having been knocked out of the DFB-Pokal in midweek, Veh is contemplating changes to his side which may involve the sale of Dzeko.

"Of course players of his class attract the interest of other clubs," he told the Wolfsburger Allgemeinen Zeitung newspaper.

"We have got to expect that. It was the case with Mario Gomez when I was at Stuttgart when we put a clause in his contract and the same would be the case with Dzeko.

"Players like him do have a price."

After Milan's bid failed, the Bosnian forward signed a new contract, including a buy-out clause, with the Wolves and Veh will now be expecting the Dzeko to play himself into the shop window, starting with tomorrow's derby match with Hannover.

On Wednesday, Dzeko can then parade his skills on the highest stage at Old Trafford against Manchester United in the Champions League, a game which will certainly be playing on the mind of the German champions this weekend.

And Hannover coach Andreas Bergmann wants his side to take advantage of this.

"Not everything is going so well for Wolfsburg," he said.

"They are conceding many goals and are allowing many chances and we have also got to try to make the most of that.

"We want to be attack-minded and play for three points there."

Bergmann will be satisfied with his first four games in charge since replacing Dieter Hecking with impressive draws against Werder Bremen and Borussia Dortmund settling his side down after a win against Nurnberg and narrow defeat to Hoffenheim.

"I feel a particularly high level of concentration and determination in my team," he revealed.
