Bayern land Frankfurt Cup test

Bayern Munich must travel to Bundesliga rivals Eintracht Frankfurt in the third round of the DFB-Pokal.

The tie, which is the only all-Bundesliga affair since eight top flight teams were knocked out in the second round, was the pick of the draw and came out of the hat last when it was merely a question of who would be given home advantage.

Frankfurt must travel to Munich in the Bundesliga only four days earlier.

Holders Werder Bremen were given a home draw against second division high-flyers Kaiserslautern, who knocked last season's beaten finalists Bayer Leverkusen out in the last round.

Fourth division Eintracht Trier's reward for their second giant-killing feat in midweek over Arminia Bielefeld was a home tie with Cologne.

Elsewhere, Schalke travel to the Allianz Arena to meet 1860 Munich, Stuttgart also travel to Bavaria to face Greuther Furth and Borussia Dortmund head to third division side Osnabruck, who accounted for Hamburg in the last round.

Hoffenheim face Koblenz while there is guaranteed to be one second division side in the quarter-finals as Augsburg host Duisburg.
