No charges for Schalke's Neuer
Schalke goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is not to be punished for an alleged elbow on Borussia Dortmund's Kevin Grosskreutz.
Grosskreutz accused the Germany international of intentionally elbowing him after the final whistle of a fiery derby between the two clubs on Saturday. But the incident looked harmless when the first footage of the presumed clash emerged.
The German Football Association (DFB) have taken a look at the evidence and said there is no grounds for an investigation.
And Schalke manager Felix Magath has hit out at Grosskreutz and his team mates for their accusation.
"It is very worrying that nowadays, unfounded accusations lead to a situation where you have to prove your innocence," he told the club's website.
"That is uncustomary. Earlier, you used to fight for victory and then everything after the game was forgotten.
"Today, accusations are invented and still get spread."
Schalke striker Kevin Kuranyi had even more damning words for Dortmund's 21-year-old defender.
"He is still young and has got a lot to learn," he said.
"He is going to lose a lot more derbies against Schalke and he has just got to accept that.
"But he should stop telling stories which are not true - probably he just felt a fly land on his nose."
