B Munich vs Frankfurt Preview
Eintracht Frankfurt coach Michael Skibbe wants his side to capitalise on the problems Bayern Munich are experiencing.
A 2-1 defeat at Bordeaux in the Champions League in midweek put Bayern in grave danger of failing to qualify for the next round of the competition while they currently lie six points behind league leaders Bayer Leverkusen and Hamburg.
They have made a worse start to the season than they did under Jurgen Klinsmann last year, and while he lasted until April, it is already being speculated that his successor Louis van Gaal will not even make it that far.
"We need results," proclaimed chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge after Wednesday's defeat.
But Frankfurt are not simply going to surrender three points at the Allianz Arena tomorrow.
"Bayern don't look so secure," said Skibbe. "They have played some great games this season, but also games in which you could see that they have not yet found their rhythm.
"I hope that we see the latter on Saturday. Our aim is to get something in Munich and we want to play a good game there.
"It is a good time to meet Bayern. They are beatable."
Bayern will be without the injured Franck Ribery for at least a month, meaning Luca Toni should be given another chance in the starting XI while Mario Gomez could replace Thomas Muller, whose red card in midweek does not rule him out of this game, but who may still pay for that indiscipline.
Frankfurt arrive with a practically full-strength squad with only Ioannis Amanatidis still sidelined with a thigh strain.
Nikos Liberopoulos should have recovered from a knock to his shin while Pirmin Schwegler and Selim Teber are both available again after suspension.
