Funkel: Hertha have to work
Hertha Berlin coach Friedhelm Funkel called on his players to "work, work, work" after they slipped to yet another defeat on Friday.
A 2-0 loss to Borussia Dortmund left the capital club rooted to the foot of the table, still searching for their first win in 10 attempts.
"We are just not making enough chances for ourselves and we don't have the strength to score goals," said Funkel.
"We have got to work, work, work."
Dortmund climbed to mid-table, but more importantly they are now back in touch with the top five after this, their third win in the last four games.
"We played a great game and, overall, we were the more active side so the result is fair," said Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp.
The match at the Westfalen Stadion also featured a strange incident when referee Felix Brych effectively made a substitution, sending Dortmund defender Dede, who had earlier clashed with Mats Hummels, from the field when he was showing signs of concussion.
"Dede continued to feel faint," director of sport Michael Zorc told Sky afterwards.
