Dzeko still harbours Milan dream

Bosnia international Edin Dzeko is still dreaming of a move to Serie A giants AC Milan.

The Wolfsburg striker has been setting the German Bundesliga alight with some eye-catching displays for his club and Milan were close to signing him during pre-season.

But Wolfsburg refused to sell and Milan had to settle for Klass-Jan Huntelaar. The Dutchman is rumoured to be on his way out of San Siro and this could pave a move for Milan to sign Dzeko.

According to FIFA.com, the talented forward has admitted that the Italian club have a special place in his heart.

“Is there a club you'd like to join at some stage in the future? I'm a big Milan fan,” he said. “It's always been my goal to play for a big club at some point.”

Dzeko has developed into one of the continent’s most powerful forces, but he’s still not content with his present ability.

“I’m always trying to improve,” he added. “I want to reduce any weaknesses to a minimum.”

Dzeko, who is preparing for a World Cup qualifier against Portugal, has also been associated with Juventus in the recent past.
