Nurnberg 0-1 Freiburg

Stefan Reisinger's goal was enough for Freiburg to grab an important victory at Nurnberg in the relegation fight.

Reisinger scored the only goal of the game in the 12th minute as Freiburg bounced back from a 6-0 thrashing last week at home to Werder Bremen.

Robin Dutt's side have won their last two away games to climb to 12th place, four points clear of a relegation spot.

Nurnberg goalkeeper Alexander Stephan made his Bundesliga debut, replacing the suspended Raphael Schafer.

And he made a superb save after eight minutes from Mohamadou Idrissou's header from seven yards.

But Freiburg were able to overcome Stephan and take the lead four minutes later.

A corner fell to Idrissou, whose header was deflected into the path of Reisinger to poke home from three yards.

Nurnberg missed a chance in the 19th minute as Andreas Wolf's header went just wide of the post.

And Peer Kluge got past Freiburg goalkeeper Simon Pouplin but could only strike the side netting a minute before the break.

Nurnberg again were dangerous 12 minutes after the break though Pouplin blocked Mike Frantz's long-range blast.

The hosts push forward continued until the 90th minute and Christian Eigler's shot from 11 yards deflected off Eric Choupo-Moting and against the post.

And Pouplin then made one final superb save from Dennis Diekmeier's 20-yard blast seconds later.
